No.1680 Date2008-07-25 Hit 30651

Three Taiwanese medical professionals from Macky Memorial Hospital visited the Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital (HSHH) Burn Center from June 26 to 28, 2008.

They visited to get information on the Burn Center which they regard as a model for renovating the Burn Center in Mackay Memorial Hospital. The Taiwanese team, composed of a plastic surgeon, a registered nurse and a medical social worker, looked around the Burn Center and especially showed interest in departments of burn surgery, plastic surgery, an intensive care unit and a rehabilitation room.

Dr. Kwang-Yi Tung, the leader of the Team said, "It was an eye-opening experience to take a first-hand look at the Burn Center of Hangang. I was able to get valuable knowledge and information of the Burn Center operation. I do believe that my experience here will help renovate the Burn Center of Mackay Memorial Hospital in a big way." He also invited medical staff at Hangang to the 20th anniversary of the Taiwan Children's Burn Foundation on August 22 this year.
