Concert for patients at Hallym

An orchestra, composed of students from the College of Medicine, Hallym University, held a concert at the Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital (HUSHH) on July 18, 2008.

Medical students played the classical tunes form the Original Sound Tracks (OST) of famous Korean and foreign dramas and cinemas, violin concerto and Mozart Symphony No. 29. The students visit and hold a concert every year for the patients and their families under medial treatment to give words of encouragement and hope through music.

"The purpose of this concert is to relieve the patients of their under the suffering from illness for a moment and to deliver a message of hope," said Joo-Kyung Kim, a member of the student orchestra.

Dr. Byung-Chul Lee, president of HUSHH, appreciated the efforts of students by saying, "I would like to express my appreciation to students for giving patients and their families a pleasure of life. I hope that they will always be able to wear a smile."

"I wish to extent my gratitude to medical students for visiting here and playing beautiful melodies annually even on their vacation," Min Yeol Kim, vice president of administration, added.
