Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital

Professor Jun Hur of Burn Surgery was inaugurated as the 24th Director of Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital.

Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital hosted an inauguration ceremony for their 24th hospital Director at the Doheon Hall auditorium inside the hospital on June 2. The event also saw the appointment of other leadership members of Hangang hospital. Professor Cheong Hoon Seo of Rehabilitation Medicine was selected as the new Chief Medical Officer, while Jong-gil Choi was selected as the new Chief Administrative Officer. Professor Byoung Chul Lee of Psychiatry was also appointed as the new Chief Planning Officer. In addition, Professor Yong Suk Cho of Burn Surgery was appointed as the new Program Director of Education & Training Department, and Gyeong-ja Kim was inaugurated as the new Director of Nursing Department.

During the inauguration ceremony, Director Jun Hur outlined some of the top priorities for the organization. These included the establishment of a cutting-edge convergence specialization center that would focus on burn treatment and research, the speeding up of the digitalization of medical facilities through the activation of Metaverse virtual hospitals, and giving high priority to the development and institutionalization of education for medical specialists, including specialized nursing personnel.

Hospital Director Jun Hur expressed, "As the director of Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital, which has a history of over 50 years, I feel the weight of the heavy responsibility entrusted to me. As the only burn-specialized hospital in the country among university hospitals, we must unite as one faculty and staff to leap forward in becoming a specialized institution that provides the best medical services."

Director Jun Hur graduated from Chung-Ang University College of Medicine in 1988. He has since played a central role in managing burn specialized hospitals and served as a clinical department head in burn surgery after completing his residency at Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital in 2002.
