Hallym acquires Platinum Level in medical data quality evaluation

No.7298 Date2022-03-04 Hit 18032

Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital acquired the Platinum level, the highest grade in the field of data quality accreditation, in the evaluation of Common Data Model (CDM). The data quality accreditation system is organized by the Korea Data Agency. It is designed to examine and certify the data quality of the system established and used by private companies or public institutions.

Based on the evaluation, the results are divided into three levels of grades: Platinum, Gold, and Silver. The highest Platinum level is given only when the data matching rate, which means the ratio that meets the data field rules, is over 99.97%. The CDM medical data of Hallym Hospital showed 99.99% in data matching rate after the comprehensive review of factors affecting data quality such as data standards, work rules, data patterns, code values, integrity, and standard definitions.

Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital opened the Doheon Institute for Digital Innovation in Medicine (DIDIM) in 2021 in order to play a leading role in the era of 4th industrial revolution. “Based on our experience in various projects including the expansion of EHR-based CDM, and the establishment of the medical data-oriented hospital, we will keep making efforts to become a leading data-driven hospital in Korea,” said Director Young Gyun Seo of the Big Data Center at DIDIM.
