No.4237 Date2014-10-04 Hit 27501

A group of UCLA Health System officials visited Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital and Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospitals to discuss ways to start a wide array of future collaboration with Hallym University Medical Center on Oct. 4, 2014.

The UCLA Health System delegation—Mr. Michael Burke of International Development and Ms. Christine Ahn, specialist of Performance Excellence—visited two HUMC hospitals to take a first-hand look at the state-of-the-art facilities and met with HUMC leadership.

After a presentation of Hallym University Medical Center at Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital, a hospital tour led by director Heesung Yoon of Management Strategy followed.

The UCLA delegation then moved to Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital. Dr. Sung Gyun Kim, associate professor of Nephrology introduced the facilities and patients care system of HUMC’s flagship hospital.

The delegation showed high interest at HUMC’s independent integrated hospital information system called “Refomax,” which allows HUMC’s six hospitals to share clinical data and hospital management information. The system is known for its effectiveness for hospital operation which naturally maximizes patient’s convenience.

UCLA Health System is comprised of four hospitals: Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center; UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica; Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA; and Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA. The UCLA Health System’s hospitals recently ranked No. 5 in the U.S. by the U.S. News and World Reports. It also marked the No. 1 in both California and the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
