Kangnam lectures on colorectal cancer for middle-aged residents

Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital gave an open lecture on “Understanding of Colorectal Cancer” for about 110 participants in their 50s and 60s at Michael Hall at the hospital’s Annex Building on Sept. 18, 2014.
The lecture was a part of The Korean Society of Coloproctology’s “The 7th Gold Ribbon Campaign of Colorectal Cancer” which aims to spread awareness of colorectal cancer by providing accurate information about the cancer and highlight on the importance of early diagnosis.
Five lectures were given on the day. Among the lecture titles include “The introduction of Gold Ribbon Campaign” presented by Dr. Byung-Chun Kim of general surgery, “What is colorectal cancer” by Dr. Sang-Nam Yoon of general surgery, and “Prevention and diagnosis of colorectal cancer by endoscopy” by Dr. Sung-Won Yoon of Endocrinology & Metabolism.
In addition to five lectures, a brief introduction of smile therapy was given to spice up the atmosphere of the audience.
