Dongtan’s managers wear blue jacket to move one step closer to visitors

No.4229 Date2014-09-01 Hit 26217

Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital launched a new “blue jacket service” to enhance patient satisfaction and convenience starting Sept. 1.

Blue jacket service allows the hospital’s managers and executives wear blue jackets and provide necessary assistance to hospital visitors ranging from reception to hospital admission. The ultimate goal of the new service is to give a helping hand to patients, their family and local residents and help them quickly solve problems during their stay in the hospital.

As the blue jacket service transcends the typical concept of volunteer work, it is credited for opening a new window of opportunity for managers and higher-level hospital employees to directly engage in customer assistance that has naturally led to overall improvement of patient service.

“We will continue campaigns like this blue jacket service to tailor to customer’s standards,” said Dr. Ho-Guen Chang, director of the hospital.
