No.4090 Date2014-06-24 Hit 27981

A medical aid team of Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital and Hallym Burn Foundation has provided free treatment for children with burns in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia from June 16 to 21, 2014.

The team led by Dr. Dohern Kim of burn surgery and Dr. Dong-Kook Seo of plastic and reconstructive surgery stayed at the National Traumatology and Orthopaedic Research Center in Ulaanbaatar to treat young Mongolian burn patients.
During four days, they saw 116 patients and gave burn surgeries for 4 children who could not receive appropriate treatment due to the lack of medical skills and equipment. Hallym Burn Foundation will help 13 young burn victims to come to Hallym University Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital, Korea, for free burn surgery.

Hallym Burn Foundation and the hospital have been offering free medical treatment for children with burn in underprivileged Asian countries since 2009. As a part of this program, the medical aid team has visited the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia for free medical care and surgery.
