Dongtan to treat retired professional baseball players

Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital signed an affiliation agreement with the Korea Professional Baseball Alumni Association (KPBAA) on January 13 to appoint the hospital as a designated medical institution for KPBAA members.


The agreement ceremony was attended by Dr. Ho-Guen Chang, Director of the hospital, Dr. Jin Lee, Chief Medical Officer of the hospital, and Honorary Chairman In-chun Baek and Chairman Soon Chul Lee of the association.


The hospital will provide various medical benefits to association members by offering them priority pass for treatment, medical charge discount and an ambulance service.


Director Ho-Guen Chang of the hospital said, “The affiliation agreement will allow retired professional baseball players to gain access to high-end medical service at Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital. This is just the beginning of new friendship and we aim to deepen our friendship in the future.”


The association was established in 2013 to improve welfare and protect the interests of retired professional baseball players.
