Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital received an accreditation mark from the Ministry of Health and Welfare(MOHW) on June 21, 2011. The governmental accreditation aims at selecting quality medical institutions with patient safety and medical services.

The hospital, which has been actively involved in prevention and care of the region, organized a special committee headed by the director of Hallym to obtain the mark and prepared for the inspection of the MOHW through simulations.

With this governmental accreditation, Hallym will use the mark for the next four years as a symbol of qualified medical facility, and will also receive administrative and financial support by the government on public healthcare projects.

Dr. Byung-Chul Lee, director of the hospital said, “Through this achievement, we will do our best to become a hospital which is loved by the region, and a institution which leads the medicine in the nation into the world.”
