Kangnam Reopens Emergency Medical Center

No.2843 Date2011-03-21 Hit 30161

Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital emergency medical center reopened on March 19 after four-month construction for remodeling.

The new center whose total floor space is over twice larger than before has been laid out to be able to perform effective medical treatments by minimizing movements of patients and medical staff. The facility is made up of rooms for patient classification, intensive care, observation, pediatrics, and CPR. The patient classification room next to the entrance would definitely help reduce inconveniences such as the mingling of patients with severe and mild problems, and a lengthy time.

Dr. Gu Hyun Kang, director of the emergency medical center, said, “I am sure we maximize the effects of our services and customer satisfaction by classifying the physical conditions of the patients. We will keep focusing on increasing the survival rate of three major diseases: an acute stroke, an acute myocardial infarction (AMI), and severe trauma.”
