Hallym University Medical Center (HUMC) organized the 2011 Hallym Clinical and Translational Research Symposium successfully at the Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital on March 5, 2011. The symposium was conducted in English.

Ten presentations on biomarkers appeared in the symposium which served as a presentation contest among the faculty members. Among them, three speakers were cited for their excellent researches and presentations: Dr. Seonghoon Choi, assistant professor of internal medicine at Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital, Dr. Ki Tae Suk, assistant professor of internal medicine at Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital, and Dr. Ihn-Geun Choi, professor of psychiatry at Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital.

The decision was made by the jury including Dr. Hae-Ran Lee, President of Hallym University Medical Center, Dr. Yong-Sun Kim, Vice President for Health & Biomedical Sciences at Hallym University, Dr. Moon-Gi Choi, Dean of Hallym University College of Medicine.

Dr. Yong-Sun Kim said in his opening remarks, “The theme of today’s symposium bears a great significance as biomarker is one of the essential fields in medicine which will lead us to high benefits in the process of diagnosing and caring diseases. In this vein, I am asking for your continued interest and aggressive participation in Hallym’s research activities on the world stage.”

Meanwhile, Hallym’s Research TFT has worked on international conferences every year to drastically improve research capacity of the faculty members.
