Hallym Holds Symposium on Biomarkers

Hallym University Medical Center (HUMC) is going to hold the clinical and translational research symposium on biomarkers with ten presentations of professors on March 5.


A “Biomarker” is an indicator for what is going on inside the body, and perform all sorts of tasks from diagnosing an illness early to predicting which treatment will be most effective. The biomarker is one of the hottest topics in the world in that it can be an early customized medicine.


In this symposium, professors from the departments of pulmonology, gastroenterology, cardiology, endocrinology, neurosurgery, obstetrics & gynecology, psychiatry and burn surgery will speak on the topics.


Presenters have been selected among those who received funds for the Science Citation Index(SCI) papers, or clinical research. This symposium is expected to be an excellent chance to share their valuable research achievements.


The symposium is designed to promote Hallym to strengthen its research competency and accelerate its globalization, will give chances to professors with outstanding results to be invited to Hallym’s international academic meetings as speakers.
