Nagoya Professors Join Symposium at Hallym

The Ilsong Institute of Life Science of Hallym University and Nagoya City University (NCU) co-hosted the 12th International Symposium on Aging and Neurodegenerative Diseases at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital on June 24, 2010.


The Japanese delegation included Dr. Hitoo Nishino, Professor Emeritus, Nagoya City University, Dr. Makoto Michikawa of Alzheimer’s Disease Research, Dr. Kiyofumi Asai of Molecular Neurobiology, Nagoya City University Graduate School of Medical Sciences, and Dr. Kosei Ojika of Neurology, Nagoya City University Graduate School of Medical Sciences.


In her welcome address, Dr. Hae-Ran Lee, president of Hallym University Medical Center, note, “It is indeed a great honor for us to continue to deepen collaborative ties with your institution. The topic of this symposium, ‘Aging & Neurodegenerative Diseases,’ bears a special significance as the world is rapidly developing into an aging society, and I hope together we will be able to find ways to conquer neurodegenerative diseases."


The two-session academic event was attended by 80 medical scientists of Hallym and Nagoya City Universities.
