Hallym Prof. Becomes TSJ Associate Editor

Professor Seok Woo Kim, Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital, has recently been invited to be an associate editor of The Spine Journal(TSJ), the official journal of the North American Spine Society (NASS). The society is one of leading multidisciplinary medical organizations dedicated to fostering the highest quality, evidence-based, and ethical spine care by promoting education, research, and advocacy.

Professor Kim has been recognized by the society's screening committee for his aggressive research and expertise in cervical spine. He was especially acknowledged for his academic and surgical accomplishments in the surgery of an artificial disk in the cervical spine, and the mid-line splitting double door laminoplasty in the back on cervical spondylotic myelopathy, and ossification of posterior longitudinal ligament.

TSJ is an international and multidisciplinary journal that publishes original, peer-reviewed articles on research and treatment related to the spine and high-quality, ethical, evidence-based spine care, including basic science and clinical investigations. NASS consists of more than 5,000 members from several disciplines including orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, physiatry, neurology, radiology, anesthesiology, research, physical therapy and other spine care professionals.
