Hangang Holds the Camp Rainbow for Patients with JRA

No.1722 Date2008-08-29 Hit 31144

Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital (HSHH) has recently offered a Camp Rainbow to about 70 patients with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA) and their families. The Camp, with this year being the second, was held at the LG Chemical Leadership Center in Osan from July 26 to 27, 2008.

Programs for the camp included a lecture by Dr. Kwang-nam Kim, Professor of Pediatrics, on "Information and Medical Treatment of JRA," and a workshop given by the Physical Therapy Team at the hospital.

The event, first organized at the summer camp in 2007, has attracted sixty members. They joined the Korean Organization for Rare Diseases and published newsletters. Through sharing their experience with children who have the same concerns, the members hope that each child patient will recover from their diseases and get encouragement from each other.
