Medical professors from Korea, Japan and China participated in the International Partnership Symposium on Life Science held at Nagoya City University (NCU) in Japan on February 20, 2009. At the invitation of Dr. Hitoo Nishino, NCU President, the five-member Hallym University delegation, led by Prof. Yong-Sun Kim, Vice President of Health Sciences, visited Nagoya last month.

The three-session academic gathering was attended by a number of medical scientists of Hallym University, Korea, Nagoya City University, Japan, and Shenyang Medical College and Nanjing Medical University, China

Prof. Kim noted in his opening remarks, "I firmly believe that today's symposium will serve as a platform for enhancing the cooperative relationship among the medical schools of Asian countries like Nagoya, Shenyang, Nanjing and Hallym."

Exchange initiatives of Hallym-Nagoya go back to the year of 2006 when Hallym entered into an MOU with Nagoya in November, 2006 to promote the mutual cooperation in the area of education and research.
