The Department of General Surgery is staffed by surgeons specializing in the treatment of a wide spectrum of diseases divided into different specialties as follows.
* Gastrointestinal surgery - gastric cancer, gastric ulcer, esophageal disease
* Colorectal surgery - colon cancer, inflammatory bowel disease
* Surgery of liver, biliary tract and pancreas - liver cancer, cholelith, intrahepatic stone, pancreatic cancer
* Breast surgery - breast cancer, breast disease
* Endocrine surgery - breast, thyroid gland, adrenal gland
* Vascular surgery - arteriosclerosis, Buerger's Disease (Thromboangitis Obliterans), lymphedema
